Humanity was turning the wheels of progress, all until the worst side of human nature stopped it all - greed.

The brightest minds with the help of AI provided mankind with technologies no one has ever heard of. Yet corporations merged and seized more for themselves until it was too late. Air became too thick and toxic to breathe in. Waters were either scarce or polluted. Soil was filled with metals. The Ozone layer started to weaken. Life became a struggle when the rich became even richer.

In the year 2071, Operation Cleanup was introduced to turn the Earth back into a habitable planet. People all around the globe were offered cruises on spacecrafts, with the richest having the best accommodation available, to steer them away from the problems and to introduce monopoly over their products once their customers are on their own spacecrafts.

Most of humanity decided to leave their homes and head into space, at least temporarily. They were lured by the comfort on the spaceships available for them for five years. The rest did not trust the corporations and decided to build underground settlements to survive the worst and wait it out, away from prying eyes.

Operation Cleanup collapsed after five years. The corporations were not heard of ever since.

The year is 2164, nearly a century after nearly all of mankind left the planet, never to return. You are all descendants of people who chose to stay on planet Earth.

Make your own choices, but do not let your ancestors' decisions go in vain.

About the Game

Earthspoil has hardcore survival mechanics inspired by Stalker combined with roleplaying elements from games like Fallout, things like food and water are a necessity and you must steer clear from cold atmospheres or even hot temperatures at times.

This game does not have a difficulty meter or modifier, as it is all based on the current skill gap of the player and the game's environment.

Youplay as a female survivor called Camille, she used to be an arms dealer before getting robbed and raided by the local vipers gang, you have the choice to go after them in a revenge mission, make a truce with them or just do other quests that exist in the game, as you are not forced to chase that main goal.
